Pete Danks, chief marketing officer at global martech platform, Clicksco_Group
Pete Danks joined global customer acquisition specialists Clicksco Group as chief marketing officer in 2015. A strategic marketer and retail professional with 15 years’ experience, the ex-Google industry head was brought in to market the organisation and boost its ambitious growth plans, taking its in- house marketing technology out to third parties. With an impressive career history spanning small VC-backed businesses to global digital brands, for over three years, Danks oversaw one of Google’s retail teams and managed a portfolio of large UK retail and ecommerce businesses.
Previous to that, he held senior marketing and acquisition roles with brands including, Yahoo, Kelkoo, MOO.COM and Firebox.
A strategic operator, Danks is from the cohort of marketers to have experience spanning two decades – meaning he’s seen the journey from an era well before Facebook and automation, through to being at the forefront of all things ad-tech.
