Richard Evans, Director of Marketing EMEA for marketing technology provider SilverpopTM, has been voted onto the board of the Direct Marketing Association’s (DMA) Email Marketing Council.

Richard Evans is a regular blogger on the subject of email marketing, and has been a member of the Council since 2012.

In his new role he will be contributing to and driving forward a range of of initiatives to set industry guidelines and promote best practices in email marketing.

He joined Silverpop in 2005, most recently leading the company’s product marketing efforts from its North American headquarters in Atlanta before moving to the UK to lead the company’s European marketing.

“Richard is well known and respected amongst his industry peers and so he was a natural choice to vote into the DMA’s coveted Email Marketing Council,” says Richard Gibson, Chairman of the DMA Email Marketing Council, DMA. “His deep industry knowledge and experience, coupled with an infectious passion for email marketing trends and issues will be a great asset. We’re very happy to have him on board.”
